Company Roster


Peter Belschwender, General Manager, Bozeman, Montana

Originally from New England, Peter came to Bozeman in 1987 to attend Montana State University, where he earned his B.S. in Construction Engineering Technology.

After working for the Federal Highway Administration on various regional projects, Peter joined OSM in the spring of 1994. He worked his way through the ranks over the years, from Carpenter's Helper to Project Manager, to being named Principal in 2002 and eventually General Manager in 2011.

Actively involved in the community, Peter has served on the board of Big Sky Youth Empowerment, City of Bozeman Climate Action Plan Committee, Gallatin Ice Foundation, and has participated in the Yellowstone Business Partnerships "Uncommon Sense" Program.

Peter, along with his wife Julie and their two sons live in downtown Bozeman where they enjoy everything that Southwest Montana has to offer.

Todd Smith, Senior Project Manager, Bozeman, Montana

With a degree in Psychobiology from UC-Santa Cruz, Todd started his construction career as a laborer for OSM in 1992. He has enjoyed his hands-on education in all aspects of the field as he worked his way up to Senior Project Manager and eventually Principal.

Along the way, Todd has won awards for Historic Preservation, enjoyed working on projects featured in Architectural Digest, and developed lifelong friendships with many of his clients. He and his active family continue to enjoy all that life in Montana has to offer.

Gabe Williams, Director of Yard Operations, Belgrade, Montana

Gabe is a 4th generation Montana native who started his career with OSM as a laborer in high school over 20 years ago. Always a driving force in the company, Gabe's interests with improving tool technologies, worker efficiencies, and design aesthetics eventually propelled him to become Director of Yard Operations.

Now a Principal at OSM, his dedication to interpreting architectural artistry and guiding crews of highly skilled craftspeople toward that vision is stronger than ever.

Spencer Archer, Project Manager, Bozeman, Montana
Spencer is a 7th generation Montana native who was born and raised in Billings, Montana. Although his family moved to Northern Virginia when he was 15, he eventually returned to Montana after high school in 1994.
Spencer began working as a Laborer with OSM at the age of 19. He has since worked his way up through virtually every position in the company, focusing on fine craftsmanship and custom log work. In 2013, Spencer became a Principal and Project Manager where he is known for his leadership and intimate team approach to every project. He believes strong relationships between the client, builder, and architect are key to building the world-class homes that OSM is known for.
Drawing inspiration from his surroundings, Spencer loves building anything from a rustic home or modern piece of furniture, to the house of your dreams.
Spencer lives in Bozeman and enjoys spending time with his wife Autumn and two children.
Mark Stuart, Project Manager, Bozeman, Montana
Mark grew up in Corvallis, Oregon where he attended Oregon State University. Through an undergraduate exchange program, he moved to Bozeman to attend Montana State University where he earned a B.S. in Construction Engineering Technology and a Minor in Business Administration.
Mark joined OSM in 2005 and was originally hired as a Labor Foreman. Mark naturally filled the role of the Project Manager after his first project with OSM and has held that position ever since. With a keen understanding that each project and project team is unique, Mark consistently identifies the resources necessary to create a cohesive and successful project delivery. Mark enjoys bringing energy and a fresh perspective to the Project Manager position.  
The challenge of the delivery process is what motivates Mark on a daily basis. The physical site conditions, complexity of designs, schedules, and innovative design and construction specialists involved in OSM projects create a limitless set of challenges to decipher.     
Mark and the love of his life Morgan reside near Gallatin Gateway with their 3 awesome kids and funny farm of animals.
John Barkow, Project Manager / Director of Sales & Marketing, Bozeman, Montana
John was raised in Helena and Great Falls and attended Montana State University where he earned a B.S. in Business Management and a Minor in English. John also attended Humboldt State and Oregon State Universities through an MSU exchange program and holds a Montana Real Estate Broker’s License.
John joined OSM in 2011 after a successful 18 year career with a residential development and construction company in Boulder, Colorado. With a steady hand, John has brought a wealth of experience to OSM in marketing and sales along with strong organizational and project management skills.
Inspired by great design and Montana landscapes, John loves to see buildings come out of the ground and take shape from their humble two dimensional beginnings. It is also great to be part of the OSM family where its true strength comes from diversity of knowledge, diligence and excellence in every project built.
John and his wife Janet have two boys and live south of Bozeman on a small farm.
Paul Sheridan, Director of Jackson Operations, Jackson, Wyoming
Paul has been managing commercial and residential building projects throughout the western states since the mid-80’s. From high end hotels to custom homes, Paul offers clients an extremely varied background of experiences to draw on.
After settling in Jackson, WY in 2000, Paul joined the OSM team as Project Manager and has since taken over the reins of the Jackson office as Director of Operations. Known for his attention to detail in all aspects of his work, he continues to enjoy the fast pace and challenges of building complex projects in the beautiful but harsh mountain environment.
Paul is also a LEED accredited professional, a designation that recognizes the positive impacts that result from identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions for construction projects.
Mark Pollard, Senior Project Manager, Jackson, Wyoming
Growing up on the family working ranch in New Zealand, Mark learned at an early age how to construct dams and various facilities utilizing his skills in excavation, carpentry, and steel work.
After graduating from the Waikato Institute of Technology in 2000 with an NZDipBus in Business Management, Mark set off to explore the world. The ideals of America drew him, but it was the beauty and charm of Jackson Hole that captured him.
In his time with OSM, Mark has worked alongside many well-respected design professionals and is responsible for a number of notable projects around the valley. After spending countless hours working as a carpenter, Mark’s vast knowledge base has earned him respect among his peers and allowed him to build a solid understanding of numerous construction practices, assemblies, and techniques. He currently holds a Class B General Contractor license from the International Code Council.
Mark has experienced the home building process from the homeowner’s perspective as he and his wife Kara recently completed designing and building their own home in Jackson. In their spare time, Mark and Kara along with their daughter & two dogs enjoy all that the Jackson area offers.
